Features of Stainless Steel Pneumatic Butterfly Valves

Stainless steel butterfly valves are available in both electric and pneumatic types. Users typically choose based on their specific application needs. If you have used this type of valve before, you’ll likely find it to be a reliable choice. However, for those unfamiliar with these valves, selecting the right one—whether electric or pneumatic—can be more challenging, as it depends heavily on the application environment.

Features of Stainless Steel Electric Butterfly Valves

  1. The valve adopts a double-eccentric structure, ensuring tighter sealing and more reliable performance.

  2. The sealing pair is made of stainless steel and NBR (nitrile rubber), offering excellent oil resistance and extended service life.

  3. The rubber seal ring can be positioned either on the valve body or on the disc, providing flexibility for different media and user requirements.

  4. The disc features a framework design, providing high strength, large flow area, and low flow resistance.

  5. The entire coating system provides effective corrosion resistance. By simply replacing the sealing material of the valve seat, the valve can be adapted for use with various media.

  6. The valve offers bi-directional sealing, unaffected by flow direction or installation position, and can be mounted in any orientation.

  7. The structure is compact and uniquely designed, offering flexible, labor-saving, and user-friendly operation.

Features of Stainless Steel Pneumatic Butterfly Valves

  1. These valves are characterized by a simple structure, compact size, lightweight design, and low cost.

  2. Pneumatic butterfly valves are particularly advantageous in applications such as overhead pipelines or concealed installations, where they are controlled by a double-acting five-way solenoid valve. They are easy to operate and also allow for flow regulation.

  3. The valves offer low fluid resistance. For medium to large diameters, the fully open valve provides a large effective flow area and allows for quick, energy-efficient opening and closing. The disc rotates 90°, and because the forces on both sides of the disc are nearly balanced, the torque required for operation is minimal, ensuring a good seal even under low pressure.

  4. Sealing materials include nitrile rubber (NBR), fluorine rubber (FKM), food-grade rubber, and PTFE lining, all of which provide excellent sealing performance.
For metal-seated types, the disc uses a laminated structure of metal and soft materials, combining the benefits of both metal-to-metal sealing and elastic sealing, thus ensuring reliable performance even in low-temperature applications.
